Métro & Monochrome

Yesterday I went for a day trip to Paris and let’s just say before we get into this post, it was with great difficulty that I even managed to get this OOTD together and posted. I have never seen wind like that in my life – let’s just laugh at the image of me running after my hat mid-shoot. Definite wardrobe malfunction!

Forgetting that minor issue, Paris was divine. It was nice to escape London for the day but also see a side to Paris I have never seen before, avoiding the less tourist-y areas was nice. I can now say Paris is a city I am familiar with and I now have a few favourite areas. (More to come in a blog post soon.) So, after 300 photos with my hair in my face or awkward squinting, I have somewhat managed to showcase the best ones of my outfit…enjoy!

Top – New Look // Shirt Dress – Zara // Sleeveless Blazer – ASOS// Jeans – ASOS// Shoes- Vans // Bag- & Other Stories // Hat- Topman // Socks- Primark

This look is very much on the minimalistic side of things…me? Minimalistic? Crikey.

“Where’s the flamboyant printed shirt?”

Parisian style is very minimalistic, with the focus on quality not quantity (an approach I’m slowly investing in). I executed the Parisian style with a capsule wardrobe and simple colour palette which came together in an effortless kind of fashion. Pardon the pun. This clothing medley is versatile and with versatility being something that is somewhat lacking in my own wardrobe, I’m pretty pleased with this ensemble.

IMG_3390 IMG_3282IMG_3413This outfit post was shot in the Jardin Du Luxemborg so if you haven’t check it out already and you are visiting Paris it’s a definite must!

There will be posts later on in the week followed by a ‘Paris treasures’ post which will include a photo diary and what to do! Stay tuned for that.

In the meantime to stay up to date with my posts and life updates, follow me on Bloglovin, and take a look at my Instagram and Twitter while you’re at it.
