After a long summer of work it was delightful to have a weekend off to rest, for a sense of peace and tranquillity. The Kyoto Garden is perfect for that. Whether you are meeting friends for a picnic or simply escaping from your worries and the hustle and bustle of central London with a book, you couldn’t pick a more ideal place.
Now as Autumn / Winter is upon us and coming quite earlier than probably planned (I’m totally down with that) I am slowly gathering my capsule wardrobe, this meaning a lot of monochrome colour palettes in my outfit. (Hey I’m not complaining).
After seeing Florence And The Machine this weekend I definitely took a form of inspiration from her 70’s look or as some negative ninnys would say Harry Styles, but we won’t go into that.
This blouse is a perfect staple for this A/W, you could say it’s a two in one. It looks great open with the bow undone for that effortless look (even though this was planned and more effort went into this then it should have done) or the shirt could be done up with a bow tied up teamed perfectly with a skater skirt and loafers for a preppy fresh look.
If you need a day in London to escape I definitely recommend the Kyoto Garden for a sense of serenity especially if you want a slice of Japan without stepping onto a plane and the money leaving your bank account. Also I advise you to go in the week, as Saturday was booming and my heart was racing with the thought of walking across the stone bridge and someone falling in.
